iday, November 16 through Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Traverse City West Middle School on Silver Lake Road.
Over 10,000 items, including downhill, cross country and snowboard equipment, ski racks, ice skates, roller blades, helmets, and race suits, will be available for purchase.
The Ski Club receives a commission on all sales that goes to support training clinics, purchase equipment, make improvements to Hickory Hills, and support high school ski racing in Traverse City.
2012 SWAP Schedule
Equipment Drop-Off 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m Friday
Boots, poles, skates, and rollerblades should be tied together. Bindings must be mounted on a board or flat surface. Older straight skis will not be sold at the SWAP, but will be accepted to be recycled for furniture.
Ski shop representatives and other experts will be on hand to help evaluate and price your equipment.
Entry Ticket Pickup 7:00 a.m. Saturday
Reserve tickets are passed out beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. All participants will be let into the SWAP based on their ticket order. The line usually starts to form a couple of hours before the tickets are distributed, so come early for the best deals.
ONLY TWO TICKETS PER PERSON IN LINE – EACH PERSON NEEDS A TICKET TO ENTER THE SWAP. If you need more than two tickets, you’ll have to convince someone else to get up early and wait in line with you. After you get your ticket, come back around 8:30 a.m. to line up for the doors to open.
SWAP 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Saturday
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Sunday
The doors open at 9:00 a.m. Buyers enter in groups of about 50, take as long as necessary, then proceed to check out.
ONLY CASH AND CHECKS ARE ACCEPTED.
PICKUP 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Sunday
Money from sold equipment or unsold equipment can be picked up from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Any equipment not picked up will be a contribution to the Ski Club – NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are not able to pick up your equipment yourself, please make arrangements for someone else to do so.
